On our final day in glorious Finnish Lapland - trading wilderness for Rovaniemi

Today, on the day of my 40th birthday, we were up early for the two-hour drive from Levi to Luosto to visit the amethyst mine.

Today was the thing I’d been looking forward to most about this adventure, and I’m happy to report it absolutely delivered!
