Whether it’s the food, history, atmosphere, or architecture, Rome is eternally appealing.

The Vatican is one of the best, busiest and biggest museums in the world, its ranked highly for years and we couldn’t wait to have a peek!

Our day trip to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius from Rome with our three young kids was the most eagerly anticipated part of our 5 days in Rome.

We really enjoyed the Ripa and Trastavere neighbourhoods - sunny walking through markets and cobbled streets. 

Starting in the Borghese area, we walked the Tridente down to Piazza Navona, stopping at all the famous landmarks and ended at the Panthon.
